I just wanna have something to laugh about while having a quick date with my hubby. Surely.
We got into the theater by the time the movie was already started. We miss the first 10 minutes. Oh well, we didn’t miss that much I guess.
Basically, the movie has a typical plot and of course the hollywood happy-ever-after-ending. But still, it is entertaining in its own way.
The story start when this big-fat-pointy-nose guy by the name of Gru was talking about stealing the moon. Due to inadequate fund to create the rocket to fly him to space, he decided to ask for a loan from the Bank, which is the Bank of Evil of course, formerly known as Lehman Brothers (wuakakakakakkakakakak).
In order to get a loan, he first have to posessed the Shrinker, a machine to shrink any objects available. So, he arrange a scene to steal the shrinker. But soon after he get his hand on the machine, another super-villain took over the thing. Vector is the name. A weird skinny guy with glasess who wears jumpsuit that looks very much like a pyjamas.
And then the story evolve around how Gru trying to steal back the Shrinker, one chance by sneaking in robots inside Vector’s observatorium-like house using three orphan girls who sells raising-fund cookies.
The truth is, this is a family movie. In order to gain ‘help’ from the three little girls, Gru must first get his hand on them, and that is by adopting them as his. And while sorting a way to get onto his plan stealing the moon, Gru must also face the countless little chores as he is now an adopted father.
Never felt truly be loved by his own mother, Gru felt ackward when the girls showed him abundant request of affection, and for them truly behaving like little children (drawing upon the wall, jumping and stumping on things), includes intruding Gru while working on his secret lab.
Though very simple in plot (easy to guess story and ending), these movie has some surprisingly cute and sarcastic scene (like the bank where Gru propose loans that was signed with information ‘former Lehman Brother’ or when Gru truly enjoyed playing tea-time with the girls ^_^).
Other eye-catching things from this movie is Gru henchmen who looks just like a plump of yellowish jelly-beans. They were all look very cute and cudly on overall and safety helmet ^_^
Overall, I think this is must-watch movie for family, especially who have little children. This is a movie which leave you a warm and tingling feeling inside your heart and wanna make you walk hand-in-hand with your little ones as soon as you finish watching it.
So, enjoy the family happiness!
*This movie makes me wanna kiss and hug Asha over and over and over and over….(I haven’t gave birth to Gaea when I first watch this movie)
