I made this during the weekend two weeks ago.
I have been craving eating a juicy beef stew but couldn’t get any around where I live. If it’s there, usually its in a restaurant and quite pricey.
So I think maybe better that I cooked it my self. This is my first attempt. Well, I have been cooking stew twice or thrice with different ingredient each time. This is the second time I try with beef and this time I am using the tender meat from the calve. So this is not actually a first attempt.
I cooked the beef chunks for 3-4 hours that day and it resulted in a juicy, tender and an almost melt-in-the-mouth pieces of meat.
I am lucky, the end result taste divine! To complement, I steam carrots and spinach and add mashed potato (mix with pepper, nutmeg and milk). I blend the spinach with mayo. I could use cream instead, I know. But it is easier to blend it with Mayo since I don’t have to add any more spices. It goes perfectly especially with the tangy hint.
The gravy from the stew goes wonderfully with the potato. Yummy!
And so I can say that I have a completely satisfied tummy during that weekend. And, two well-fed kids ^__^
